Daddy Lumba’s two wives, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, have publicly dispelled swirling rumours of a rift between them following the highlife legend’s passing.
Speculation about tension arose after Lumba’s manager, Roman Fada, introduced Akosua Serwaa as the singer’s first wife and referred to Odo Broni as “Mrs. Fosu” during a family gathering. Many interpreted this as favouritism toward Odo Broni, with some social media users accusing the manager of disrespecting Akosua Serwaa, who had supported the musician through decades of struggle.
In response to the backlash, Roman Fada released a new video to address the controversy and emphasize unity within the family. Seated between Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, he declared that there was no conflict between the two women.
“I’m with my boss, Akosua Serwaa, and my boss, Odo Broni. Ghanaians, there is nothing but peace in this house,” he said. “Everything people are saying out there should be thrown out. Daddy Lumba was a man of peace, as evidenced by his music which transcended all genres.”
