A/R: Gas customers stranded due to tanker drivers strike

Due to the Gas Tanker Drivers’ strike, customers have been stranded at various gas filling station outlets throughout the Ashanti region.

The Gas Tanker Drivers Association (GTDA) and the Ghana LPG Operators Association (GLiPGOA) have declared a strike in response to poor working conditions and a ban on the construction of new LPG stations.

A visit to some of the filling stations left several customers, both domestic and commercial, stranded because the outlets had been closed.

Some of them told our regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah that they went to several gas stations but were unable to purchase gas.

They urged the government to step in and address the drivers’ and the association’s concerns.
