Aboboyaa rider sets wife and six children ablaze

A tricycle rider identified as Yaw Afriyie, popularly known as Batman, has allegedly killed his wife and six children in a tragic incident at Breman-Dunkwa in the Central Region before taking his own life.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred around midnight following a serious misunderstanding between Afriyie and his wife. He reportedly asked her to go and check on their children who were sleeping in a room.

Shortly after she entered the room, Afriyie is alleged to have poured petrol inside, locked the door, and set the room on fire. His wife, six children, and a grandchild were all trapped inside and died instantly as the fire spread rapidly.

Neighbours who were awakened by the screams and flames rushed to the house but were unable to help because the fire had already engulfed the room.

After committing the act, Afriyie reportedly hanged himself.

Police from Breman-Dunkwa have visited the scene and begun investigations into the incident. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the morgue for autopsy and preservation…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
