Alleged Nungua Gborbu Wulomo child ‘marriage’: CRI to place victim in boarding school

The parents, he said, would have the opportunity to visit the child, and social welfare would have the legal right to ensure that the welfare of the child is protected.

”The child will be attending boarding school and will have the chance to reintegrate with her parents.”

He further revealed that CRI will also do its best to see how best it can support the rehabilitation program of the minor.

”We are keenly monitoring the case, and from day one till date, that is the latest update I can provide in respect to the case,” he told Dr. Ren on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM.

The Ghana Police Service of Gender, Children, and Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare were commended for their swift and decisive actions in addressing the issue.

He said that when it comes to the civil and social aspects of the matter, he can state on authority that with the work done, the girl is doing well health-wise and has a sound mind.

He urged for the support of the Social Welfare organization, as it is equipped to handle such issues.
