Baby locked alone in house after parents’ death rescued in time

KENYA – Alex, a young boy from Lunga Lunga in Kwale County, has gone through a heartbreaking ordeal after losing both his parents. With no father or mother to care for him, Alex has never known parental love.

In such situations, relatives often step in to care for the orphaned child. Unfortunately, some children are not as fortunate and end up neglected, abandoned, or left to struggle for survival on their own.

Alex’s story falls into the latter category. After the death of his parents, he was placed in the care of his aunt, who allegedly mistreated him before locking him inside a house and leaving him to die.

A video shared by the Judith Foundation shows a frail and weak Alex trying to eat the little mushy food placed before him, visibly struggling with every bite.

An earlier video captured his back, revealing each bone of his spine, a distressing sight that shocked many viewers.

According to the Judith Foundation, “Alex was locked up and left to die when his parents died, but God offered him the opportunity to live again. He has been ignored by an aunt since his parents died, and is dangling from the cliff. We were able to rescue him, and he is now receiving therapy.”
