Bawumia will not vote for himself
Kumasi-based pastor Apostle Kofi Nkansah-Sarkodie, widely known as St. Sark and founder of the Open Arms Ministry, has made controversial claims about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 elections.
St. Sark asserted that Dr. Bawumia will not vote for himself on December 7, adding that even President Akufo-Addo and former President Kufuor would not support the NPP’s candidate.
During an interview on Onua FM, St. Sark elaborated on his reasons for making this bold statement. He explained that Dr. Bawumia is allegedly “spiritually entangled” and that voting for himself could bring serious consequences.
“Bawumia will not vote for himself because he knows if he does, he will bring a big problem upon himself. This election is between a blessing and a curse. Bawumia cannot vote for himself because he has gotten himself involved in a spiritual entanglement,” St. Sark stated.
The pastor went further to suggest that Dr. Bawumia’s alleged spiritual entanglement is linked to his reported involvement with a shrine, which St. Sark claimed is an “abomination to Christendom.”
This assertion has sparked further controversy, with some questioning its validity and others interpreting it as an attack on Dr. Bawumia’s integrity.
Additionally, St. Sark criticized Dr. Bawumia for his unfulfilled promises, particularly one to build secondary schools in Zongo communities. The pastor described the failure to deliver on this promise as an example of dishonesty.
“Lying is haram in the presence of God, and the Bible describes the devil as the father of all liars. And Bawumia is a liar,” St. Sark proclaimed.
