Black Sherif’s first love who died at just 17yrs old featured in his song ‘Oh Paradise’

With his debut album The Villain I Never Was, out today on RBA / EMPIRE, Black Sherif has taken the world stage.

The Villain I Never Was is an album about Black Sherif’s trials and tribulations.

“Oh Paradise” is one of the 14-track album’s songs that has received a lot of attention on the internet.

The song is about his first love, Clementina Konadu, who died in 2017 when she was only 17 years old.

The singer had hoped to spend his entire life with the late Clementina Konadu, also known as Akua Thug Life, but death dashed his hopes.

Personally, I believe Black Sherif wrote and sang the entire “Oh Paradise” in Twi because it is the best language for him to express his feelings about his first love’s death to date.

According to the song’s lyrics, Black Sherif desired to share the spotlight and his victories with Clementina because she believed in him when he had nothing.
