Spurs vice-captain Cristian Romero has appeared to take aim at the Tottenham hierarchy as the club struggles for form under manager Ange Postecoglou.

They lost 4-3 to Chelsea on Sunday in a game that was actually very easy for The Blues despite the scoreline suggesting it was a lot closer. Tottenham had nothing and could only feed off Chelsea mistakes at the back. Romero is confident Spurs have all the tools to be regular Premier League title contenders but wants to see more transfer investment rather than “always the same” cycle of changing players and manager.

“Hopefully they realise who the true responsible ones are, and we move forward because it’s a beautiful club that, with the structure it has, could easily be competing for the title every year.”
