Daddy Lumba Estate Case: Charlyn Fosuh speaks
Akosua Serwaa’s daughter, Charlyn Fosuh, has spoken publicly to clarify issues surrounding her decision to withdraw from her mother’s application for letters of administration over her late father’s estate.

Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, passed away on July 26, 2025, after a short illness. Following his death, his first wife, Akosua Serwaa, filed a case at the Kumasi High Court seeking a declaration that she was the musician’s sole legal wife.
In her application, Akosua Serwaa stated that she married Daddy Lumba traditionally in Bomso, Kumasi, in 1991 and later under German ordinance law in 2004.
She further argued that because of the civil marriage, any marriage the late singer’s second wife, Odo Broni, claimed to have entered into was invalid. However, on November 29, the Kumasi High Court dismissed her application, ruling that she failed to produce a valid German marriage certificate to support her claim. Justice Dorinda Smith Arthur ruled that both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni should be regarded as customary wives of the late musician.
Following reports that she had withdrawn from her mother’s case, Charlyn Fosuh addressed the issue during a TikTok livestream shared late on January 26. She dismissed claims that she had sued her mother or Lawyer Kusi, explaining that she only asked to be removed from the case.
