Disqualified NPP delegates clash with chairman – One journalist attacked
Tension erupted at the Korle Bu Police Station polling centre in the Ablekuma South Constituency on Saturday after two disqualified delegates confronted the constituency chairman over their exclusion from the New Patriotic Party primaries and verbally attacked a Joy News journalist covering the exercise.

The two individuals, whose names were not disclosed, were disqualified after losing their delegate status following their removal from party positions, which rendered them ineligible to vote in the internal election.
The confrontation quickly degenerated into heated arguments and insults, with the aggrieved delegates accusing constituency chairman Collins Asante of acting unfairly.
Mr Asante is reported to be aligned with Ken’s camp, while the two disqualified delegates are known supporters of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
A Joy News journalist at the scene, Fostina Sarfo, said she was verbally abused by one of the delegates, who also tried to prevent her from filming activities at the polling centre.
“During the confrontation, one of the delegates verbally attacked me while attempting to obstruct filming at the polling centre,” the journalist said.
The incident almost turned violent when another delegate allegedly attempted to throw stones at the journalist, but police officers present intervened promptly and restored calm.
