Don’t go because there is no one else better than you – President Mahama told
The Founder of the Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre, Prophet Opambour, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for what he described as exceptional leadership that is steering Ghana in a positive direction.
In a discussion with his junior pastors, Opambour stated, “This NDC government we haven’t seen such a wonderful government in the history of the world. Even US President Donald Trump cannot compare himself to President Mahama. Donald Trump, if you are offended, please don’t attack us, we beg you.”
Similarly, Rev Isaac Owusu-Bempah, Founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International (Glorious Chapel), has joined calls supporting a potential third-term for President Mahama.
In an interview on Okay FM on January 23, 2026, Rev Owusu-Bempah praised Mahama’s performance, saying that no other person could govern the country better. He emphasized that the President should continue ruling unless he personally chooses to step down.
“President John Dramani Mahama deserves commendation because things have been going well since he became president. Ghanaians have seen the good things he is doing, such as paying off debts and stabilizing the economy. We must praise him because he is working,” Owusu-Bempah said.
He also questioned why a successful president like Mahama should leave office after just four years. “For me, I don’t want him to go because there is no one else who can do better than him, looking at how he is ruling the country. If he wants to step down, he should appoint someone for us to support because I don’t know who else can help rule the country better,” he added.
It is important to note that under Ghana’s Constitution, a person can serve a maximum of two presidential terms. President Mahama has already completed his first term and is currently serving his second.
