Driver filmed flogging an officer during traffic stop (Video)
A dramatic video has surfaced online showing a driver using a whip, commonly known as a koboko, to lash an officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who had stopped him at a traffic checkpoint.
The video, which is circulating on X, shows the FRSC officer and the driver in a heated scuffle before the driver suddenly pulls out the whip and strikes the officer.
Other uniformed FRSC personnel quickly stepped in to separate the driver from their colleague and calm the situation.
“Because you tried to collect money from him and he didn’t give, you used the plastic (traffic safety cone) in your hand to hit him at the steering,” a voice in the background narrates, explaining what reportedly triggered the driver’s angry reaction.
