EC to destroy another batch of defective ballot papers on November 30
The Electoral Commission will destroy another batch of defective ballot papers on November 30.
This is contained in a letter addressed to the various presidential candidates and signed by the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey.
” You are kindly informed that the Commission has scheduled Saturday, 30th November, 2024 to shred or burn all faulty ballot papers at the Printing Houses,” the letter stated.
It added that “Political Parties and Independent Candidates are to provide two (2) representatives each to observe the process at the affected Printing Houses. Please find attached the schedule for the shredding or burning of the faulty ballot papers.”
It would be recalled that on November 12, the EC burnt defective ballot papers for Ahafo and Volta regions.
