Election 2024: Akufo-Addo pledges free, fair election

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the upcoming December 7 elections are conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.

In a meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana, the President emphasized that the will of the Ghanaian people will be respected, and no candidate will be imposed upon them against their wishes.

President Akufo-Addo reiterated that Ghana’s democratic credentials will remain intact, and the election outcome will reflect the sovereign will of the people.

He stressed that the choice of leader is a fundamental democratic right that will not be compromised under his administration.

The President assured that every necessary measure will be taken to ensure the elections are credible and transparent, guaranteeing the expression of the people’s will.

This commitment aims to further solidify Ghana’s democratic reputation and reinforce the trust of its citizens in the electoral process.

By pledging free, fair, and peaceful elections, President Akufo-Addo demonstrates his dedication to upholding the principles of democracy and ensuring a smooth transition of power as his NPP-led administration has promised.
