Esther Smith opens up on claims Pastor Elvis Agyemang charged for prayers

Management of gospel musician Esther Smith has rejected as false and misleading claims circulating on social media that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers.

In a statement released to address the issue, the management described the allegations as a serious misrepresentation of facts and urged the public to ignore such claims.

According to the statement, engagements between Esther Smith’s team and Pastor Elvis Agyemang, together with the Alpha Hour team, were conducted with respect, dignity and genuine pastoral care. “At no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers,” the statement said.

The management further stated that sufficient security and support were provided throughout the engagement, adding that all interactions were handled with professionalism and integrity.

The statement also described Pastor Elvis Agyemang as a leader who has consistently shown character, accountability and transparency, stressing that any suggestion to the contrary is inaccurate and should be ignored.

The public, the Alpha Hour family and fans of Esther Smith were advised to disregard speculation, sensational headlines and misrepresentations circulating on social media.

Management also urged media practitioners and bloggers to act responsibly by verifying information before publication and avoiding content that could mislead the public or harm reputations.
