‘Bright spark’ – Chelsea player wins most duels despite international defeat

This report will probably come as no surprise at all to Chelsea fans as we continue to review the international matches from the weekend.

International breaks can be very dull for domestic football fans, but there will always be some Chelsea players to hone in on and watch, even if our beloved club is not in action.

Last night it was the turn of midfielder Moises Caicedo, who played the full 90 minutes for Ecuador in their 2-0 defeat against Italy in a friendly match.

However, for Caicedo personally, it wasn’t a bad outing and there are no signs that he got injured so hopefully has come through the 90 unscathed.

As the Chelsea website puts it, Caicedo was a ‘bright spark’ in defeat for Ecuador, and actually notched up some decent stats.

As usual, it was his ball winning and duel battles that stood out. He won the most duels (6), the most tackles (2) and completed the most dribbles (2) in the game.
