A devastating fire has ravaged an apartment in Axim, Nzema East Municipality, Western Region, claiming the lives of three children and injuring three others.
The fire also destroyed properties valued at several thousand Ghana cedis.
The deceased children, whose names have not been disclosed, are believed to be between five and ten years old.
According to reports, the parents also died while preparations were underway to send them to the hospital, but the three other children, aged 5–10, suffered severe burns.
The survivors are currently receiving treatment at the Axim government hospital, although their condition remains uncertain.
