Former Jasikan MCE snubs Bryan Acheampong, joins Bawumia
NPP flagbearer aspirant Dr Bryan Acheampong has suffered a setback after his campaign coordinator for the Jasikan Constituency, Elizabeth Anim Kessewaah Adjornor, defected to support Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

With just weeks to the NPP presidential primaries, Elizabeth Adjornor, a former Municipal Chief Executive for Jasikan, announced her decision in a press statement, confirming her exit from Bryan Acheampong’s camp.
She said the decision was taken after what she described as “deep personal reflection and sincere consultation”.
“I am convinced, beyond doubt, that, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia represents the vision, discipline, and forward-looking leadership that Ghana needs at this critical stage of our democratic journey,” she stated.
According to her, the move to join the Bawumia camp was “a decision of conviction, conscience, and consistency”.
“My heart continues to yearn for the political home where I once belonged. I am convinced, beyond doubt, that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia represents the vision, discipline, and forward-looking leadership that Ghana needs at this critical stage of our democratic journey.”
Elizabeth Adjornor, who previously had close ties with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia before switching allegiance to Bryan Acheampong, also apologised to the former Vice President upon her return. She admitted that her earlier decision influenced several people to leave Dr Bawumia’s camp.
She, therefore, called on all those who left because of her actions to return.
“I also wish to use this opportunity to render an unreserved apology to His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Although I never issued any unpalatable or derogatory statement against him, I acknowledge that my public support for Hon. Bryan Acheampong may have inadvertently drawn a considerable number of people away from the DMB camp.”
“This was never my intention, and I regret any inconvenience or misunderstanding my actions may have caused. Accordingly, I humbly entreat all supporters, associates, and sympathizers who left the DMB camp on my account to return home, just as I have done. Our collective strength lies in unity, loyalty, and a shared belief in credible leadership,” portions of her statement added…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
