GH¢20,000 bounty placed on individuals for threatening December election violence
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has announced a GH¢20,000 reward for anyone who would provide credible information for the arrest of individuals, who allegedly threatened to incite violence during the upcoming December 7 elections.
A statement issued by the GPS urged the public to assist in ongoing search for the suspects, by providing information that could lead to their arrest.
It said the police would continue to pursue the individuals, from Obuasi, in Ashanti, who were declared wanted on November 15, 2024.
Among the suspects are: Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, Musa Yakubu, also known as Agya Musah, and their accomplices, all of whom have been evading arrest.
The statement invited anyone with reliable information to contact the police via the dedicated phone number 0547927272.
The police also urged the public to remain calm, as they were committed to maintaining peace, security, and order in the country. —GNA
