Ghanaian forward Foster Ajago outstanding brace in Nashville SC debut at CONCACAF Champions Cup

In a stunning debut performance, Ghanaian forward Foster Ajago showcased his prowess on the pitch as he delivered two remarkable goals to secure a memorable brace for Nashville SC in their CONCACAF Champions Cup clash on Wednesday night.

Signed by Nashville SC in December after going undrafted in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft presented by Adidas, Ajago wasted no time in making his mark. Despite facing initial uncertainties following his undrafted status, Ajago’s determination and skill were on full display as he seamlessly integrated into the Nashville lineup.

Prior to his professional debut, Ajago had already garnered attention for his exceptional abilities during his collegiate career at Duke University. With an impressive record of 14 goals in 18 games, Ajago had earned Second Team All American Honors, clinched the ACC Offensive Player of the Year title, and even emerged as a semifinalist for the prestigious MAC Herman Trophy.

Joining Ajago in the spotlight was fellow forward McKinze Gaines, who opened the scoring for Nashville SC with his first goal as a member of the team in the 13th minute.

Not to be outdone, forward Jacob Shaffelburg added to the excitement by closing out the first half with a goal of his own and further solidifying Nashville SC’s dominance on the field.
