Government declares December 5, as a Public Holiday
The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has declared Friday, December 5, 2025, a public holiday.

The Asawase MP announced this in a statement dated Friday, November 28, 2025, which was shared on social media. He explained that, as has been the practice over the years, the first Friday in December is observed as Farmers’ Day, making it a statutory public holiday.
“The general public is hereby informed that Friday, 5th December 2025, which marks Farmers’ Day, is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the statement said.
Farmers’ Day is celebrated annually to honour the hard work and contribution of farmers and fishers to Ghana’s development, food security, and economic growth.
The 2025 celebration will be held in Ho in the Volta Region under the theme: “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.”…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
