Guy drags lady to court for taking TNT and not showing up – Faces 7 years in prison

A young Nigerian woman identified as Jennifer has been taken to court after allegedly collecting 30,000 naira (about GHS 215) as transport fare from a man but failing to visit him as agreed.

The complainant, Emmanuel, explained that he sent her the money to cover her trip, but after receiving it, she reportedly refused to show up. Feeling deceived, he decided to seek legal redress.

In a viral video of the ruling, the court found Jennifer guilty of deceit and ordered her to refund the transport money. The court also directed her to pay 450,000 naira (around GHS 3,200) in damages to Emmanuel or serve a seven-year jail sentence if she defaults.

The case has triggered heated debate on social media, with many users sharing their views on the issue of “collecting transport fare” in relationships.
