He was paralysed – Family member reveals Daddy Lumba’s last condition before his death

A woman believed to be a close family member of highlife legend Daddy Lumba has opened up about the musician’s troubling health condition prior to his passing.

The elderly woman—reportedly his aunt—shared that Daddy Lumba had been quietly battling serious spinal issues for some time in a revealing interview with Angel FM.

She explained that after his performance at the Legends Night event, the iconic singer fell seriously ill.

“He was supposed to perform at Juaben Secondary School’s anniversary,” she recalled. “But he didn’t show up.

“When I called him on my way home, he told me he had fallen ill after the Legends Night and had been paralysed. He said he was in a wheelchair.”

According to her, the late musician had told family members that doctors were struggling to properly diagnose the cause of his condition.

Even friends who attempted to find alternative treatments reportedly came up short. Eventually, she said she took him to another hospital where he had surgery that brought some relief.
