Here are the 3 aspirants who file to contest NDC primaries in Akwatia
Three individuals have picked up nomination forms to contest in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries in the Akwatia Constituency.

The aspirants are former Member of Parliament Henry Boakye, current constituency secretary Bernard Bediako Baidoo, and Erasmus Koney Ali.
Per the party’s timetable, all candidates who submit their forms by the deadline on Wednesday, 30 July, will be vetted on Thursday, 31 July. Balloting will be held immediately after to determine their positions on the ballot paper ahead of the primaries slated for Monday, 4 August 2025.
The contest has been triggered by the recent passing of the sitting MP, prompting a by-election in the constituency.
Meanwhile, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reportedly settled on Solomon Kwame Asumadu, Chief Executive Officer of Owuo Mining Company, as its parliamentary candidate.
