Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the leader of the Glorious Word Ministries has admitted to peddling falsehood to defend the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Reverend Owusu Bempah told Okay FM that there have been instances where he has had to make up false statements so as not to make the government unpopular.

Citing one of the instances where he ‘lied’ to save the government, Reverend Owusu Bempah said that in the case of the National Cathedral, he has told some falsehoods to defend the government despite not being a member of the board of the National Cathedral.
As a result of his public statements on the project, Reverend Owusu Bempah claims that he has been the subject of persistent attacks from some unknown faces.
He stated never has he been consulted about the National Cathedral project and will not serve on the board if he is invited now.
“People just call and insult me over the Cathedral meanwhile I’m not part. A number can just call and insult me that I’m foolish but I know nothing about it. Sometimes, you call me about the Cathedral and I lie to defend them but I’m not part. I was defending them. If they invite me [to the presidency], I will honor it but I can’t go without their invite,” he said.
The preacher who until recently was close to the presidency further said he has been abused by some members of the public due to his relationship with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The National Cathedral which according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a ‘priority among priorities’ has been shrouded in controversy following some allegations by the member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

You know nothing about d National Cathedral but you lie to save d govt .of d day.And you call yourself a minister of d WORD? And u have an international ministry with members following you?OMG!!!.And you are not even ashamed to say you lie to save Akuffo Addo.This is what has been going on in this country since d politicians took over.Do u think d economy will be a blessed one when even pastors are linked to d govt.to lie?You better repent else d wrath of GOD is coming.
