I would have extended her jail term to 20 years – Lawyer on Agradaa
Private legal practitioner, Benjamin Tachie Antiedu Esq., has pushed back against claims that the 15-year prison sentence handed to self-styled evangelist Patricia Asiamah, also known as Nana Agradaa, is too harsh.

Speaking on GHOne TV on Friday, July 4, Mr. Antiedu explained that the sentence, issued by an Accra Circuit Court, falls well within the country’s legal sentencing guidelines. He also suggested that the punishment could have been even more severe had the judge not exercised leniency.
“The judge was lenient with Agradaa. I would have extended her jail term to 20 years. Agradaa’s jail term isn’t excessive. It is within the sentencing regime,” he said.
Mr. Antiedu also pointed out that the ruling could have a lasting impact on Agradaa’s Weija-based Heaven Way Church, testing its strength and resilience in the absence of its founder.
