I would rather be a single mother than get married- Aba Dope

Ghanaian socialite and TV personality Aba Dope, popularly known as “The Nurse,” has opened up about her views on marriage and her preference for single motherhood.

In an interview on Original TV, Aba revealed that she owns several 24-hour restaurants, a demanding business that leaves her with little time to meet the traditional expectations of a wife. According to her, this was a major reason her past relationships failed — her partners couldn’t understand the intensity of her schedule, which includes late-night operations and early-morning market runs to restock supplies.

She pointed out that many African men expect their wives to be submissive and available, especially at dawn. However, her reality as a businesswoman doesn’t allow for that. Aba stressed that she cannot be happy in a marriage unless her future husband fully understands and accepts her lifestyle.

Despite this, she remains open to marriage if the right person comes along — someone who respects her work and independence. If not, she says she is content with the idea of becoming a single mother and continuing to enjoy her freedom.…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
