If the NDC is campaigning for a candidate, then you should know something is wrong – NPP delegates told

The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has warned New Patriotic Party delegates not to support any presidential aspirant believed to be favoured or promoted by the National Democratic Congress.

He gave the caution on Monday, January 19, 2026, when he joined former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign tour in the Ashanti Region and addressed party supporters.

Annoh-Dompreh said NPP delegates must be careful and strategic in selecting a flagbearer who can defeat the NDC in the 2028 general elections.

According to him, any direct or indirect involvement or endorsement by the NDC in the NPP’s internal elections should be seen as a warning sign.

He explained that the NDC would naturally support a candidate they believe could weaken the NPP’s chances in future elections.

“If the NDC is campaigning for a particular candidate in our primaries, then you should know that something is wrong,” he told delegates, urging them to vote with the party’s future strength in mind.

Annoh-Dompreh added that the NPP’s internal elections should be based on party interest and national appeal, not strategies meant to benefit political opponents, and stressed the need for unity and sound judgment as the party prepares for the next election cycle…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
