I’m not going to manage another team – Guardiola

Pep Guardiola has dropped a bombshell, revealing he won’t manage another club after Manchester City.

Guardiola has enjoyed eight-and-a-half illustrious years at Manchester City’s helm, securing six Premier League crowns, one UEFA Champions League and other multiple honors.

The Spaniard is currently in the midst of his toughest period of his tenure, with City having won just one of their last eight games in all competitions and losing five consecutive matches for the first time in his managerial career.

However, Guardiola penned a new deal until 2027 last month, which will take his time with the four-in-a-row Premier League champions past a decade.

In an exclusive interview with Spanish chef Dani Garcia, Pep provided a major update on his future and revealed he will not lead any other teams in the future once he time with Manchester City comes to a close.

“I’m not going to manage another team. I’m not talking about the long-term future but what I’m not going to do is leave Man City, go to another country, and do the same thing as now. I wouldn’t have the energy… The thought of starting somewhere else, all the process of training and so on… No, no, no! Maybe a national team, but that’s different…”

“I want to leave it and go and play golf but I can’t. I think stopping would do me good.” he added.

Meanwhile, City surrendered additional ground in the title chase on Saturday as they were pegged to a 2-2 stalemate by Crystal Palace, with the outcome signaling the team loosening it’s grip on the Premier League title race.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City will shift their focus to the Champions League clash against Juventus in Turin on Wednesday, where Guardiola aims to reverse their fortunes and return to winning ways.
