I’m sorry – Bukom Banku apologizes over alleged cutlass attack by son

Former boxer Bukom Banku has issued a public apology following an alleged machete attack involving his son, Mustapha Kamoko, in Ga Mashie.

In a statement calling for peace, Bukom Banku appealed to traditional leaders, chiefs, elders and residents of Ga Mashie to help settle the matter amicably.

He asked the family of the victim to accept his apology and called for the issue to be resolved peacefully.

Mustapha Kamoko has reportedly been charged after allegedly attacking Laud Abbey with a cutlass during a disturbance in Bukom on December 31, 2025.

The incident is said to have started over the discharge of firecrackers, which injured some people linked to Laud Abbey and led to the confrontation.

Laud Abbey has accused Mustapha and others of causing injuries and damaging property during the incident.
