It is my wish you become first female President of our country – Haruna Iddrisu tells Naana Jane
Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu has expressed confidence that Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang could make history as Ghana’s first female President.

Speaking during the Vice President’s working visit to the Ministry of Education, Mr. Iddrisu openly declared his admiration for her leadership qualities and pledged his full support.
“It is my personal wish that you are elevated to become the first female President of our country,” he said.
He further assured the Vice President of his “unwavering support” should she decide to contest for the presidency in the future.
The Vice President’s visit was part of her broader engagements with key state institutions.
A Global InfoAnalytics survey in April 2025 placed Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as the frontrunner with 26% voter preference. She was followed by Haruna Iddrisu with 19%, and Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson with 12%.
National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia and Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa tied for fourth place, each with 10% support.
However, new polling data excluding Prof. Opoku-Agyemang shows Haruna Iddrisu leading with 27%, followed closely by Mr. Nketia at 26%. Dr. Ato Forson ranks third with 22%, while Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa follow with 11% and 8% respectively…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
