JOIN LIVE: National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving
Ghana is today, July 1, 2025 observing the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

The maiden edition is under the theme “Reset, Reflect and Renew for National Prosperity”.
The Christian Prayer and Thanksgiving Service is taking place this morning at the forecourt of the State House, led by His Eminence Peter Cardinal Appiah Turkson.
The Islamic Prayer and Thanksgiving Service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu at the Ghana National Mosque, Kanda.
The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving was instituted by President John Dramani Mahama in fulfilment of his campaign promise. The day serves as a moment for Ghanaians of all faiths to come together in unity and express gratitude to God for the nation’s abundant blessings.
