Ken Agyapong respects all faiths – NPP’s Kwasi Kwarteng
The campaign team of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has said that while he is a committed Christian, he remains inclusive and respectful of all faiths in Ghana.

Speaking after the Ken’s National Praise 2026 event on Friday, January 2, the campaign team spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, told Channel One Newsroom on Saturday, January 3, that the thanksgiving service, though based in Christian belief, was intentionally open to people of all religious backgrounds.
He said Mr Agyapong openly practices his Christian faith but does not exclude anyone because of their religion.
Mr Kwarteng explained that the event brought together representatives from various faiths and traditions, including members of the Muslim community, traditional leaders, and Buddhist representatives.
“The MC announced that there were Buddhist representatives present. We also extended invitations to traditional leadership, and representatives of the Ga Mantse were there, as well as people from the Muslim community,” Kwarteng said. “We were professing our faith, but at the same time, we were embracing all other faiths.”
The campaign team described the turnout as overwhelming, noting that attendance exceeded expectations. According to the spokesperson, the organisers extended an open invitation to the public and dedicated the programme to God, but the response was higher than anticipated.
“Our expectations were more than met. The number of calls and the level of interest surprised us. There was even an overflow of people outside the auditorium,” Kwarteng said.
Mr Agyapong had earlier described Ken’s National Praise 2026 as a thanksgiving service rather than a political gathering. He used the occasion to call for peace, unity, and prayer ahead of the NPP’s presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.
He urged party members and Ghanaians to avoid violence, bitterness, and division before, during, and after the primaries, stressing that leadership should be guided by unity and God. He added that regardless of the outcome, national cohesion and party unity must remain a top priority…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
