Ken Agyapong supporter in trouble over comment on Bawku conflict
The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has received a formal complaint over alleged incitement and the spread of false information connected to the ongoing Bawku conflict.

The complaint, dated December 17, 2025, was filed against Adomako Emmanuel, popularly known on social media as Qwofi Manuel. He is said to be a supporter of Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.
According to the petition submitted to the CID at the Police Headquarters in Accra, the accused allegedly shared false and provocative claims on social media following a recent meeting between the Otumfuo Mediation Team and President John Dramani Mahama, which was aimed at resolving the Bawku conflict.
The complainant claims that on December 16, 2025, Adomako Emmanuel circulated a post stating that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia planned to overturn decisions taken by the Otumfuo Committee and recognise the Mamprusi as the rightful custodians of the Bawku skin if elected president.
The complainant, however, maintains that the claim is false and points out that GHOne TV, which was mentioned as the source of the report, has publicly distanced itself from the publication.
The petition warns that the alleged false information could undermine ongoing peace efforts in Bawku and may trigger unrest if not addressed. It therefore urges the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter and apply the appropriate laws to prevent the spread of information capable of disturbing public peace.
Screenshots of the alleged posts, images of the accused, details of his social media accounts, and contact information were attached to the complaint to aid investigations.
As of the time of filing this report, the Ghana Police Service has not released an official statement on the complaint or confirmed whether investigations have begun…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
