Kennedy Agyapong whips Bawumia in Assin Central
Renowned Ghanaian politician and businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has recorded a significant win over former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and other contenders in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries held on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong emerged victorious in his constituency, according to provisional results from the polls. Out of the 528 votes cast across the polling stations in Assin Central, he secured 495 votes.
