Kwadwo Asamoah, Italian Consul unveil Juventus Academy in Ghana

Italian Serie A side, Juventus, have partnered with former Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah to officially unveil an academy in Ghana.
The Ghanaian academy adds to the increasing presence of the European giants in over 50 countries and all continents.
Asamoah is the leader of the initiative with the Consul of Ghana to Italy, Massimiliano Colasuonno Taricone, also a part of the project as they continue to extend the club’s values in Africa.
According to the Italian Consul, who spoke at a press conference for the opening, the initiative will receive support from Juventus, the Italian Embassy in Ghana, the Ministry of Sports, and the Ministry of Education
The Juventus Academy will be stationed at the SMAC Sports Center inside Casa Trasaco in Accra.

The Juventus Academy has become a symbol of football excellence with young talents given the opportunity to develop themselves as humans before adding value to their profession. The intention is also to help the talents both on and off the pitch.
Speaking at the presser, Asamoah who represented Juventus during his playing career said, “Our mission is to bring the Juventus spirit to kids in Ghana. We want to instil not just football skills but also values that will guide them through life.”

Aside from the football pitch, other facilities at the SMAC Sports Center include; a basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, a badminton court as well as four classrooms that could house about 30 people.
The Juventus Academy is expected to be launched officially before the end of 2023.
