Statement from Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, Kwahuhene and President of the Kwahu Traditional Council, on the Passing of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Other State Officials:
It is with deep sorrow and utmost regret that I have received the harrowing news of the untimely passing of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence, and other distinguished state officials, in the tragic incident that occurred earlier today.
This painful loss has cast a dark cloud over our nation. In both public and private life, Dr. Omane Boamah served with dedication, eloquence, and an unwavering sense of purpose. He was a true son of Kwahu, with whom I shared a personal bond. His intellect, patriotism, and commitment to national development were unquestionable.
His sudden departure, along with that of his compatriots, is a grievous blow, not only to their families, but to the entire Republic.
On behalf of Nananom and the entire Kwahuman, I extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and to the Government and people of Ghana. May the Almighty grant their souls peaceful rest and comfort all who mourn.
