Last moment and photo of Sergeant Addo Mensah before flying surfaces

A colleague of the late Air Force Sergeant Ernest Nii Addo Mensah has touched many hearts online after sharing details of his final moments before boarding the fatal flight.

Sergeant Addo Mensah, along with Squadron Leader Peter Anala and Flying Officer Manaen Twum-Ampadu, tragically lost their lives in the Ghana Air Force helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

In a TikTok post sighted by DailyNewsGhana, the colleague shared a photo of their last encounter that same morning. She revealed that the picture was taken just before he departed to serve as the engineer on the ill-fated flight.

“Just this morning before we dispatched you, sir. This thing has pained my heart. Eiii w)gb3j3k3. Hmmm,” she wrote, expressing her grief in a mix of English and Ga.
