Let the truth be said, Sammy Gyamfi deserves recognition – Abronye DC admit

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, has continued to receive praise from the public and political figures for improving the performance of the state agency.

The latest commendation has come from Kwame Baffoe, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, who acknowledged Gyamfi’s leadership despite their political differences.

Speaking on his Ohia TV show, which is mainly aired on social media, Abronye DC said, “Let the truth be said: Sammy Gyamfi deserves recognition for what he is doing at GoldBod. Turning around the fortunes of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) and making it attractive is commendable, despite our differences.”

According to Abronye DC, the Ghana Gold Board has successfully promoted its operations and attracted investors from around the world. “Today, the Ghana Gold Board has marketed itself so effectively that people worldwide are talking about it. Apart from the oil industry, gold is the second most sought-after investment product,” he stated.

Other notable personalities, including former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu and finance and economics expert Senyo Hosi, have also praised the Ghana Gold Board, citing its potential to strengthen the economy. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu noted that the state agency, which holds the exclusive mandate to buy and sell gold from artisanal small-scale mining through licensed buyers, has contributed to positive economic indicators.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Lawson FM during an economic review programme hosted by Kwame Tanko, the former NPP Member of Parliament for Suame commended the government for reporting favourable economic figures.
