President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on all Ghanaians to unite in building a nation that serves as an inspiration to the world, as the process of transitioning power to the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) government begins.

Speaking at the inauguration of the transition team in Accra on Wednesday, December 11, Akufo-Addo emphasized the need for collective effort and national pride in advancing Ghana’s development goals. While acknowledging the significant strides the country has made, he noted that there is still much work to be done to reach the nation’s full potential.

“Ghana stands out as a beacon of democracy and stability, showcasing the strength of our institutions and the maturity of our people,” President Akufo-Addo stated. “We must continue to consolidate this hard-earned reputation by adhering strictly to the provisions of the Transition Act.”

Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in Ghana’s future, urging citizens to support the transition process with patience, understanding, and faith in the country’s institutions. He also called for unity and commitment to building a country that is a model for others.

“…Let us continue to build a nation that serves as an inspiration to others, a nation united in its diversity and freedom and steadfast in its pursuit of progress,” he concluded.
