Mahama swears-in third batch of 14 new ministers

President Mahama has sworn-in third set of Ministers at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, January 30, 2025.

The Ministers sworn in are; Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Interior Minister, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Naa Momo Lartey, Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Kenneth Adjei, Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources and Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Minister of State in-charge of Special Initiatives.

Eight mew Regional Minister were also sworn-in. They include; Tia Ibrahim, North East Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, AKamugri Atanga Modestus, Upper East Regional Minister, Ali Adolf John Northern Regional Minister and James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister.

The others are; Rita Akosua Awatey, Eastern Regional Minister, John Kwadwo Gyapong, Oti Regional Minister and Linda Akweley Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister.

All fourteen Ministers were approved by Parliament this week. So far, 31 ministers out of the 42 ministerial nominees have so far been sworn-in.

The vetting process is still ongoing with some nominees yet to appear before the Committee.
