Man sells friend to ritualist for ¢49

NIGERIA—A disturbing case has emerged in Ogun State, Nigeria, where a man has been arrested for allegedly handing over his friend to a ritualist for just ₦5,000 (about ¢49).

The victim’s head was later sold for ₦20,000.

Reports say the suspect lured his friend with a promise of a farm job. When they arrived at the location, he allegedly signaled the ritualist to proceed with the killing. The ritualist then carried out the act and later sold the victim’s head.

A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) showed several suspects being paraded by the police, each admitting to their role in the gruesome crime. The alleged mastermind, a herbalist, also confessed in the footage.
