Marc Guehi interested in Chelsea return if he leaves Crystal Palace

Marc Guehi is believed to be interested in a return to Chelsea if he were to leave Crystal Palace in January or next summer according to reports.

Palace have had a difficult start to the season and currently find themselves in the relegation zone with just one win all season.

The Eagles lost a number of their established stars over the summer with Michael Olise joining Bayern Munich, whilst Joachim Anderson joined Fulham.

It appears Guehi could be the next star to leave Selhurst Park and he was subject to intense interest from Newcastle over the summer after starring for England at Euro 2024.

The England international came through the ranks at Chelsea before leaving the club for Palace in 2021 and signing a five year deal with the Eagles.

Guehi made just two appearances for the Chelsea first team, but with the Blues in the market for another centre back recent reports have linked him with a return to Stamford Bridge.

TEAMtalk have reported Guehi would be interested in a return to his boyhood club and it’s believed the Blues are in a strong position to land their former player because of his love for the club.

The report adds that Chelsea have first refusal to match any offers plus a 20% sell on clause which means they can get him at a discounted price compared to any other suitors.

Guehi is out of contract in 2026 so it’s highly likely a deal could be struck for the less than the £70m Palace were commanding in the summer.

Trevoh Chalobah is currently on loan at Palace and if the Blues were to make a move for Guehi there’s a possibility they could try and use Chalobah as a potential makeweight in the deal.

The Blues have also been linked with Benfica duo Tomas Araujo and Antonio Silva, whilst Axel Disasi is expected to leave, with the Frenchman linked with a move to Napoli.
