Most Ghanaians happy than last year – Global InfoAnalytics
A national tracking poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics shows that most Ghanaians believe their standard of living has improved over the past year, indicating growing optimism following the introduction of the 2026 national budget.

The survey, released on Monday, December 29, found that 56% of respondents said their living conditions are better than they were a year ago. About 27% said there has been no change, while 12% said their situation has worsened. Five percent had no opinion. Looking ahead, 70% of voters said they expect their standard of living to improve further in 2026, while 18% expressed pessimism.
On the 2026 budget presented by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, 66% of respondents said they were satisfied. About 18% said they were dissatisfied, while 16% said they were neutral.
The poll also assessed views on governance issues. About 56% of respondents said corruption in the country has improved, while 60% believe the government is doing enough to fight it. On illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey, 47% said the situation has not worsened under the Mahama administration, including 43% of respondents in mining areas.
