NDC and NPP have failed Ghanaians-Mikki Osei Berko
Veteran Ghanaian actor and brand influencer Mikki Osei Berko, popularly known as Dada Boat, has openly criticized Ghana’s two dominant political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for failing to adequately serve the needs of the people.
Speaking during an interview on Joy Prime monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the actor did not hold back as he expressed his frustration with the political landscape, claiming that both parties have had ample opportunity to bring about meaningful change but have fallen short.
Mikki argued that the NDC and NPP have alternated in power for decades, yet many pressing issues facing the nation remain unresolved.
“For how long will we keep switching between these two parties?” he questioned. “They have had enough time, but the results speak for themselves. The country is still grappling with poor infrastructure, unemployment, and a struggling economy.”
The actor further addressed the role of party manifestos, typically seen as blueprints for governance. However, he dismissed their significance, stating that they had become empty promises.
“I’ve lost faith in party manifestos,” he said with a mix of disappointment and scepticism. “They craft these documents to win votes, but once they’re in office, it’s a different story. The promises are forgotten, and the cycle of unfulfilled expectations continues.”
