NDC Central Regional Secretary opens up on leaking party secrets
Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, the Central Regional Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has denied claims that he disclosed sensitive party information, describing a circulating statement as false, fabricated, and malicious.

In a strong disclaimer, Mr Adams said his attention had been drawn to a message widely shared on WhatsApp, which was falsely attributed to the Central Regional Secretariat of the NDC. The message was captioned “Disclaimer & Directives for Fair and Equitable Allocation of Security Services Slots Given to the Central Region NDC by the Minister of Interior.”
He categorically denied authoring the statement or having any knowledge of it, urging party members and the general public to completely disregard it.
“I wish to state without any equivocation that the Regional Party Secretariat or I did not author the statement in circulation and do not have any knowledge of its origination or construction,” he said, adding that it should be treated “with the contempt it deserves.”
Mr Adams stressed that throughout his many years of service to the NDC, he has never disclosed party secrets. He noted that his work with the party dates back to 2004, when he started at the branch level and steadily rose through the ranks to become Central Regional Secretary.
He highlighted his dedication to the party, saying he has consistently committed his time, energy, and resources to strengthening the NDC in the Central Region.
On the substance of the alleged statement, Mr Adams clarified that neither the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, nor the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak, has ever discussed any security services protocol with him or asked him to communicate such matters.
“No such thing, such as a security protocol, has ever come to my attention as Regional Secretary of the NDC in the Central Region,” he stated.
He condemned what he described as a trending fabricated story suggesting that he had revealed top party secrets, insisting that his loyalty to the NDC is “unmatched and uncontested.”
Mr Adams suggested that the false claims may have been cooked up by “unscrupulous or desperate individuals or politicians” seeking to damage his reputation for political advantage.
He formally dissociated himself from the circulating statement and reaffirmed his commitment to his duties and to the NDC.
