NDC presidential primary: 96% victory predicted for Mahama
Former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM) will win 96 percent of votes whenever the National Democratic Congress (NDC) holds its presidential primaries, this is according to Dr. Samuel Sarpong, a leading Member of the NDC in the Ashanti region.
He observed that despite the competition and analysis that is being made into the respective candidature of contenders in the highly-anticipated race, JDM is in line for a big win.
Dr. Sarpong, a former KMA Boss, in an interview with our news team in Kumasi, noted that since former President Mahama started his national campaign he [Dr Sarpong] is yet to receive news of people opposing his comeback.
He endorsed the candidature of Mr. Mahama, saying he is the right man needed to wrestle power from the New Patriotic Party.
He revealed that several developmental projects in the Ashanti region including the reconstruction of the Kejetia Market, several roads, and Hospital projects were constructed by the NDC.
He entreated John Mahama not to worry himself since the NDC delegates in the country were ready to give him 96 percent votes, adding that he will be shocked if the former President does not get his projected percentile after the polls.
“Since John Mahama started his national campaign, I am yet to see anyone in this country who doesn’t support his quest; I will be astonished if he fails to poll 96% of the votes. This is why I’m urging all the delegates in the country to vote overwhelmingly for him,” he said.
