NDC’s popularity soars in Oti Region

The Basares community in the Oti Region has officially endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with just 11 days remaining until the December 7 elections.

Dr. Richard Bisimpo, the Oti Regional Coordinator for the NDC in the Basares community, has intensified his campaign, which is now in its final stage. His goal is to win over voters for John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, as well as all NDC parliamentary candidates in the region.

As part of his campaign, Dr. Bisimpo has been highlighting the NDC’s key policies and promises, including a 24-hour economy, addressing the economic decline, and restoring stability and inclusive growth to the economy.

Speaking to a gathering of NDC supporters, he emphasized the party’s commitment to the Basares community. Dr. Bisimpo, who was a parliamentary aspirant for the Biakoye constituency, also announced the party’s decision to elect two prominent community members, Mr. Mustapha Gbande and Alhaji Yaw Kundow, to key positions.

Mustapha Gbande, the NDC Deputy General Secretary, assured the community that they would benefit from the party’s policies if they win the 2024 general elections. He appealed to the community to vote for the NDC’s flagbearer and all parliamentary candidates.

Alhaji Yaw Kundow, also seeking the community’s support, promised more opportunities in the next NDC government. He urged the community to rally behind the party, emphasizing the importance of their support in the upcoming elections.

He urged them to stand firmly behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and explained that the party is “their party.”

Ubor Nchamla and Ubor Malik Kwabena Tadiche also reminded the Basares community to remember their roots when climbing the political ladder.

They encouraged Mr. Gbande, Alhaji Yaw Kundow, and other prominent Basaremen to remain humble and true to their values as they ascend to positions of power.
