NPP is panicking over their fate in the Ashanti Region – Political Analyst
A Political Science Lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Dr. Kwasi Amakye Boateng, has disclosed that the NPP is panicking in the Ashanti Region, fearing that the NDC will pull more votes.
Speaking to the host, Akua Boakyewaa Yiadom, on Adom FM, he said that although the NPP government has completed several projects, it has not been able to create any significant projects in Kumasi, in contrast to the former president, who built a sizable market there.
The NPP Party has started building some roadways as a result of their current realization of their errors.
“It is obvious that the Ashanti Region provided great support to the New Patriotic Party, but it seems they were denied their fair share of the cake. Accra now has 3 new interchanges, but Kumasi doesn’t have even a single interchange.”
“Now the NPP is panicking because the NDC might acquire more votes. They have now realized their errors, but it is John Mahama who constructed the Kumasi Kejetia Market, yet the Ashanti Region didn’t vote for him.”
He added that “mistakenly mentioning an opponent’s name during campaigns will have no impact on the election result because they are just mere mistakes.”
Dr. Kwesi Amakye Boateng further emphasized that giving out money or food items to voters in order to gain votes is inappropriate and may hinder the country’s political progress.
