NPP Presidential Primary : Bawumia takes massive lead at NPP headquarters

Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has secured a strong victory at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headquarters polling centre, polling 308 votes from the total ballots cast.

His closest challenger, businessman Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, obtained 160 votes at the party’s head office, while the remaining three aspirants recorded much lower figures.

Results from the NPP headquarters indicate that Dr Bawumia won about 64 per cent of the votes, with Mr Agyapong taking roughly 33 per cent.

Former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum and former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong each secured 3 votes, while former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong received 7 votes.
